Cod meatballs with tomato - recipe

Ingredients

  • Cod (fillet) - 500 gr
  • Egg - 1 pcs
  • Flour - 2 tbs
  • Cheese "Maasdam" - 3 tbs
  • Onion - 1 pcs
  • Garlic (cloves) - 2 pcs
  • Green onion - 3 pcs
  • Tomato paste - 2 tbs
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tbs
  • Tomatoes - 1 pcs
  • Bay leaf - 1 pcs
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Cod meatballs with tomato Directions

Preparation:
1. Finely chop the onion, chop the garlic, remove the skin from the tomato and cut into small cubes. Grate the cheese, finely chop the green onion.
2. Add green onions, grated cheese, egg, flour and salt to the minced fish. Mix thoroughly.
3. Pour vegetable oil into a bowl, put onions and garlic and turn on the Vegetables / Frying setting for 15 minutes. Fry, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
4. Add tomato paste, stir and fry for 2 minutes.
5. Add the tomato and continue cooking until the end of the program. At the end add 2 multi-glasses of water, sugar and salt, put bay leaf, stir.
6. From the minced meat, mold meatballs a little larger than a walnut, put in the sauce. Close the lid and turn on the Fish / Stew mode for 20 minutes. When serving, sprinkle with parsley and green onions.
Tip:
Any sea fish fillet can be used in this dish.
