• Wash the multicooker bowl well. Wipe the outside of the multicooker's inner bowl with a dry cloth. Place the bowl in a multicooker. Pour milk into the inner bowl of a multicooker, add yogurt. Stir.
• Close the multicooker lid until you hear a click. Connect the multicooker to the mains - this should be done only after the device is fully prepared for use.
• Press the "MENU" button, select the "YOGHURT" mode (the default cooking time is 8 hours).
• If, after selecting “MENU” and “COOKING TIME” , no button is pressed for 10 seconds, the appliance will beep. (After the beep sounds 15 times, the device will enter standby mode).
• Press the START button.
• At the end of the program, 4 beeps will sound, the multicooker will go into standby mode. Disconnect the multicooker from the mains.
• Open the lid of the multicooker, take out the bowl of yogurt, refrigerate for at least 2 hours. If desired, transfer the yogurt to a separate container first.
Tips
• Before preparing yoghurt and other dairy products, make sure the automatic heating is turned off.
• Yogurt can be served with your favorite fruit, sugar, honey, jam, or muesli.
• It is not recommended to add fresh berries or fruits during the preparation of yoghurt - because of the acid they contain, the milk will turn sour and you will end up with sour milk.
• For the preparation of yoghurt, you can use specialized starter cultures that are sold at the pharmacy (in this case, follow the instructions on the starter culture).
• If you want to make yoghurt from fresh or pasteurized milk, first it must be heat-treated: pour milk into the multicooker bowl, select STEERE and set the cooking time to 20 minutes. At the end of the program, cool the milk to room temperature. Then follow the above recipe. No pre-heat treatment is required when using UHT milk.
• Store-bought yoghurt used as a starter must contain only milk and bacteria. It is best to use a product that has a minimum shelf life.
• Make sure the dishes are clean when preparing yoghurt.
• Ingredients for preparing dairy products should be at room temperature.
• You will be able to prepare medium-thick yoghurt within 8 hours. For thicker yoghurt, set the cooking time to 12 hours.
• If you prefer thinner yoghurt, set the cooking time to 6 hours.
• For a variety of menus, you can use yogurt as a base for making cream for cakes, desserts, salad dressings, etc.
